Product Reviews

Elite Tech Bass Spinning is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 81.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Most comfortable handle I received a 6'9" and a 7' MH Elete Tech Bass rod as replacement for two Elete Tech Smallmouth rods I broke in Canada in an accident(my fault). I like the new rods much better; and i liked the old ones. The handle is very comfortable. This is important to me as I suffer from arthritis. The rods are very well balanced, the handles are correct length and the variety of materials make them easy to grip and comfortable in the hand. The short trigger spur is perfect. I have found Fenwick's Cust. Service the best in the industry. Fenwick for life. S.V. Dalton

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Strong but sensitive These are the best bass rods available, strong and flexible yet very sensitive. I've owned 1 rod paired with a pflueger supreme reel 3+ years now and the durability of the rod is unsurpassed. I bought a second rod 5 months ago and paired it with a Quantum smoke reel and truly enjoy catching smallies in the 3-5# range with total confidence. The rods are light weight and dependable allowing me to cast for hours. Thanks again Fenwick for your high quality product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Light and Super Sensitive I purchased this rod to replace a broken dropshot rod from last year. This rod is extremely sensitive and light weight. It balances very well with a size 30 reel. This is ideal for dropshot, shakey head and other light weight finesse techniques. I have used many rods in the $100 dollar range and this is well worth the extra money. The construction of the handle and guides are much better than a cheaper rod, and translate to better feel and increased sensitivity. I look forward to buying a casting rod in the Elite Tech Bass line.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fine fishing rod I am a custom rod builder for the last 8 years. I am 76 years old. I have been a fan of Fenwick for years. I saw this model at a sports store recently. I was so taken with it i bought two. One medium and 1 medium heavy. You people at Fenwick are to be congratulated on making fine fishing rods. These new models are especially good. I have found them to be very sensitive to the bite and they are very light and beautiful. One feature I discovered by accident. They FLOAT, long enough to be retrieved when knocked overboard. I love the machined aluminum fore end lock and best of all the way the reel seat assembly and fore end encase the reel so there is no chance of the reel falling off the rod. That is a superb feature. It is especially refreshing to see good composition cork being used instead of the cheap stuff. I would love to see what one of these rods would feel like fitted with a 8 or 9 inch long rear grip on it like 1.1 inch diameter to fit a larger than normal hand. 1 inch seems to be a bit small. Workmanship, in every aspect , is excellent. My wife thinks i"m crazy, buying rods when I make them. I know quality when I see it. Keep up the excellent work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 6'9" 2 Piece I was looking for a rod to replace my St. Croixs that I sold. I have tendon problems in my hand and the reel seat threads and hoods on the Premiers were causing my hand to fall asleep. I picked this Fenwick rod up at Field and Stream and what a comfortable handle. I fished it for 1.5 hours straight and no "needles" in my hand. I threw a Blue Fox #3 Vibrax and a Mann's Crankbait and every little bump on the bottom could be felt as well as the vibrations. The blank has plenty of backbone and handles lures very well with minimal flex except at the tip. The sections held in place and it fished like a one piece rod. This rod was a pleasure to use and I look forward to fishing with it for years to come due to the lifetime warranty. The Elite Tech feels every bit as good as my St. Croix Premiers did but with a superbly comfortable handle. I'm now a Fenwick man and will be getting the MH version also. Fenwick hit a home run with this one folks!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 6’9” medium Moderate Fast tip LOVE IT!!! This is my go to, fish it all rod. The moderate fast tip on this rod is pretty amazing. It is fast enough to jig and soft enough to defy the most acrobatic fish. It has plenty of back one to land some big ones. I did buy an Elite tech walleye specifically for jigging but this rod can handle the jigs very well and have caught many walleye and bass using it with 1/4 - 1/2 oz jig heads

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Rod I purchased this rod a few weeks ago and just had a chance to use it this week. However, right our of the box, the rod looked great, has a very nice finish on it, is very light and sensitive for a 7'11 MH rod. The main use for this rod for me will be using a Carolina Rig, or Alabama Rig. My son and I went out Christmas Day in the afternoon and caught several nice large mouth on it on Lake Ferguson in Greenville, MS.
