    Had the og blue 5wt Aetos and broke the tip about 3-4 inches down. They warrantied it no problem, and actually sent me an entire rod. Pretty rad company, and an awesome rod for the money! Throws delicate flies with ease, and chucks streamers no problem!

    Beginner 8wt Rod

    This rod is definitely medium-slow action. Not medium-fast as stated. large size streamers are not cast able with this rod. There is just too much flex throughout the body of this blank. Graphit can be brittle. My first aetos had to be replaced due to breaking in half in my second use. Send email and then call customer service for replacement. They should send you one free of charge. The rod is kind of heavy which is another aspect that makes it feel unwieldy. You won’t be getting ultra tight loops out of this one. Overall forgiving rod for beginners fly fishers. I wouldn’t say recommend Redington Wrangler of this piece of equipment if you are on a budget.

    Underrated

    I bought the 9’ 8wt and used it primarily for steelhead fishing in Alaska. It turned into my favorite rod to use considering I have several other brand rods. I fought and landed trout and salmon up to 20 lbs no problem. Would have rated higher if I could find rod section replacements instead of having to buy a new rod. I’m usually good about product registration but forgot on this one and I’m well outside the date. Maybe the broken rod will just become a decoration.
