    I bought the 9’ 8wt and used it primarily for steelhead fishing in Alaska. It turned into my favorite rod to use considering I have several other brand rods. I fought and landed trout and salmon up to 20 lbs no problem. Would have rated higher if I could find rod section replacements instead of having to buy a new rod. I’m usually good about product registration but forgot on this one and I’m well outside the date. Maybe the broken rod will just become a decoration.

    Awful Customer Service

    This rod is a good rod for the price and it has an intriguing “lifetime warranty” that Fenwick likes to boast. Well with rods it is only a matter of time before something happens. My rod broke and I contacted Fenwick warranty support. I was receiving normal email responses initially and sent them photos as well as all other necessary information. This is where it goes bad. Within minutes of sending the information I get an email to rate the customer service experience which is usually something you only see when conversation/tickets are closed out. So I waiting a couple of days after receiving that and emailed them asking what the status on the claim was and did not receive a response. I then decided to call them with the phone number they provided, between the hours they provided. I have called approximately a dozen or more times, leaving voicemails and have yet to get any type of response. Today’s date is 6/12/25 and the last contact I’ve had with Fenwick was on 5/19/25. If you are still here reading this. Save yourself the headache and just go with a different company. I have owned Orvis products for years and cannot say how awesome their customer service is.
