Constructed with a blend of 30 and 24 Ton high modulus graphite is the definition of our namesake and remains at the core of the series. A proprietary new design process delivers excellent sensitivity and very crisp actions for all applications. Fenwick designed soft touch reel seats provide great hand feel and direct access to the most sensitive part of the rod, the blank. I ordered a medium heavy extra fast rod to serve for bigger bass and pike fishing. I had a couple prior generation Eagle spinning rods and they were always great for me. I wasn’t sure what to expect with the upgrade. Needless to say, this new generation HMG is absolutely phenomenal! As a matter of fact I like it so much I bought another in medium fast for my primary bass rod. Beginning to think I need to round out the series with a Medium light fast action rod for finesse bass fishing.
These new HMG’s have inspired me to reinvest in my rods and get out there and put them to good use! They have changed the paradigm in what I look for in a high quality rod.
I think I’m now a lifetime Fenwick fan from here on out!

I tournament and need a soft tip but good backbone spinning rod. For the price this one delivers the fish in your boat.
