Purchase this little while back and had the chance to bring it out this past weekend. It is a fantastic trout rod! Really enjoyed the castability and the action was perfect.
Will likely be used for more than just travel. Highly recommend!

couple of weeks ago we were visiting my in-laws in Montana, and I picked up the Eagle travel rod there. used this on the Yellowstone, Missouri river, and a mountain lake, and did very well for trout, even in June heat. Used a soft plastic jig to land a 21 .5 inch rainbow. The Eagle 3 piece rod was outstanding using plastics, and even bank fishing with mice tails. The rod's sensitive feel and response was everything that I could want, and handled and landed trout all above 14 inches. there was no doubt or apprehension while fighting these native rainbows and browns. I'm especially impressed that this rod was flawless with various techniques and did exactly what anyone could expect and want.. Great Rod Fenwick! I hope to be able to pick up another size
