FENWICK PRO SCHEIDE CLAIMS SECOND FLW TOUR WIN
—
COLUMBIA, S.C. (May 19, 2009) – Ray Scheide relied on his Fenwick Elite Tech Flippin’ Stik and a Berkley Chigger Craw to stake his claim to a $200,000 check for his victory at the FLW Tour Beaver Lake/Walmart Open. The Dover, Ark., native bagged a final day bag of 12 pounds, 4 ounces to slip up on the leaders to earn his second tour-level victory.
“I was truly shocked to escape with a win,” said Scheide. “I really focused on flooded timber and heavy mats. When fishing in heavy cover it is key to have the best equipment. This is the exact reason why I use ABU Garcia, Fenwick Elite Tech rods and Berkley bait and line. They come through for me each and every time without fail.”
Scheide pitched flooded hardwood trees throughout the competition. He used 15-pound Berkley 100% Fluorocarbon and a watermelon-candy Berkley Chigger Craw with a ½-ounce weight
The next FLW Tour event is set for May 14-17 on Kentucky/Barkley Lake in Benton, Ky.
