FENWICK PRO MARK MARTIN NOTCHES PWT TOURNAMENT WIN
—
Fenwick pro Mark Martin came away victorious on the Professional Walleye Trail at this past weekend’s Berkley/Lowrance Pro-Am Series on Lake Oahe. The Fenwick pro made a push for the lead during the final day and weighed in a winning weight of 49-pounds, 15-ounces.
The win on Lake Oahe in Mobridge, S.D., earned the Fenwick pro a prize package worth over $62,000. Martin jigged from the shoreline to 15 feet with Gulp! Alive minnows, switching to bait as a cold front rolled across the prairie.
“When you jig for walleye, a quality rod is a must,” said Mark Martin. “I have been using a Fenwick rod for sometime now, and it has never failed to boat a fish. It is sensitive enough to feel a subtle bite but strong enough to muscle them into the boat. That is the perfect combination that I look for in any rod that I fish.”
The remaining 2008 In-Fisherman Professional Walleye Trail schedule is: June 26-27, Bull Shoals Lake out of Bull Shoals, Ark. July 13-15, Wabigoon Lake out of Dryden, Conn. September 11-13, St. Marys River in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich. October 16-18, St. Croix/Mississippi River out of Hudson, Mich.
