Product Reviews

Fenwick® Methods Spinning is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Travel Rods for Florida I needed to update my spinning rod for travel fishing I do twice a year in florida. I shore fish 90% of the time, and needed an update for florida and midwest fishing. I picked up the 6 ft, 8 inch methods rod, and could not be happier. I was able to cast at structure and under the mangroves with great accuracy. I catch and release 100% of the time, and the medium sections helped me fish and land a variety of snook and jacks over the few days. Saltwater, surf & species are always are grueling on equipment- and this rod set really made the trip enjoyable. I love the option now to switch up to medium light, for walleye/ trout in Michigan.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything is great about this rod. Great action Great action, tight connections of the three pieces, 2 different choice of actions and super quality all the way. One of may favorite rods now that I have it. To make it better the only the would be to make it an 8 ft long rod for better cast ability

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best travel rod out there Purchased the M/MH spinning rod for peacock bass in the Amazon and it performed flawlessly. I also had a couple of other rods (that I won't name here) and the Fenwick was by far the best in class. Peacock bass are not easy on rods/reels but I would not hesitate to recommend the Fenwick to anyone planning on really putting this rod to the test.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great travel casting rod I purchased this rod to take along on our trip to Corpus Christi / Padre island. I really like the option of being able to select medium or heavier action by interchanging blank sections. I used the rod primarily for topwaters and soft plastics and it performed very well. Considering portability and casting performance, I am very happy with this rod.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great rod!!! I bought the spinning rod. I took it to the lake to try it out. I was throwing a light weight Rapala crank. I liked the way it loaded up with this crankbait. I caught 5 bass in 2 lb class and one flathead cat. Very happy with this rod

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great feel, but brittle! I have purchased one of these great rods, about a month ago and the (medium) tip section broke while reeling in a CRAPPIE!?! I thought this was a fluke, but it happened AGAIN after a replacement the next week. I have been fishing for over 30 years participating in everything from fly fishing to offshore tuna fishing. I am by no means a novice, I know how to care for graphite rods. There just seems to be an inherent flaw in two blanks I have been through, or perhaps something more engineering related? Time will tell I am hoping that Fenwick will shine with their warranty for their products. The feel of the rod while fishing is GREAT, and I thoroughly enjoyed while it was in one piece. The only couple of complaints are that the Case does not offer much protection from shaking, which might be why the two rods I got lasted such a short time. Someone should really add some kind of cloth to separate the pieces of this rod to prevent them from slapping together.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sick Rod! I bought this rod for a trip to the Philippines, Long story short the trip got canceled but the rod sees a lot of action here in Hawaii. Use for Bonefish on the flats and shore casting for Papio and Uluas ( Jack Trevaly). Pair it with a Shimano NASCI 5000 or Shimano Spheros 6000 great combination!
