Rated 3 out of 5 by Bobby from Denver from Great, but... Having used these (3) rods over a month I'm mostly happy with them. Used them with leadcore, boards etc and they are up to the task and had the moderate action I was looking for in a trolling rod. Prefer their telescoping butt over 2/pc so I can be rigged, with rods in the SUV, when I get to the lake. Personally, I wish they had a high quality EVA crosshatched foam handle vs cork since cork really doesn't hold up well with the wear and tear of the in/out of rod holders which is what trollers do every day. After two years a cork handled trolling rod is grimey and chipped up. EVA looks like new (dishwasher safe?). But I liked the rods, price point and admire the mfg so I bought them.

Rated 3 out of 5 by eyebuster from Nice Rod I bought this rod on line. I didn't have the ability to handle the rod before I bought it. I like fishing with it. The telescopic feature isn't quite what I'd hoped for. The rod doesn't collapse into itself as far as I'd like it to, making the rod difficult to maneuver and store indoors. This rod will need to live in my boat when not in use. The length of the rod when fully collapsed is greater than 7.5' and less than 8'. I would recommend this rod to anyone that has a boat that they could store the rod in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by gnick8 from Great product, make one for spin casting? I've used and loved Fenwick rods for years and got excited when I saw this Eagle Telescopic. The two-piece Eagles I have are perfect for trout in rivers and streams. They're light, have great quality and action, and are a pleasure to use all day. For travel, I would be all over a Fenwick Eagle telescopic made for typical spinning applications(casting, not trolling). There's really nothing close to Fenwick quality in a telescopic except your own trolling model. Ultralight fishermen like myself would love to own Fenwick quality that could be packed and enjoyed anywhere. Any chance you'd consider producing some??? 5'6- 6'6 Ultralight(trout/panfish) and 6'6- 7'6 light/med(bass, etc) would be amazing! I've searched for years, hoping you or St.Croix will come up with a line of amazing telescopics. Fenwick would be ideal!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by SDguide007 from Great trolling rods These are the best you"ll find for trolling for walleye. They have metal guides that are just what you need for using Berkley Fireline. Other rods with ceramic guides will crack and cut your line. The action is perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Fishinpal from Great bargain I've been using these for guiding for a few years now....soft enough for crawlers and firm enough for cranks....now I don't need to different sets of rods...it's great since space in the boat is at a premium

Rated 5 out of 5 by bjamin92 from Easy to use and can handle large fish! I enjoy trolling crankbaits for walleyes and pike. The Telescopic rod that I purchased has been the perfect rod. I run a medium power rod and it has no trouble handling pike in excess of 35" or walleyes pushing the 30" mark. It is also a great rod in terms of price. This rods does what I want it to and is very affordable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Boesman from Trolling Machines! I bought one of these rods last season to test them out while lead core trolling walleyes, I ended up ordering five more to swap my old reels to as the rod performed well! They also uphold well with planer boards! Have yet to use them with riggers.
