Rated 5 out of 5 by Zachmunoz from Amazing pole for the price A month ago my dad bought me a 6'6 medium moderate fast and I absolutely love this pole it is the best pole I have ever had. It is extremely versatile I can use it for bass, trout, panfish, catfish, and pike. The pole is well put together and is fairly stiff compared to some of the other poles I have owned before but it is still the most sensitive pole that I have. I can use a weightless sinko and I can feel every time I bounce off bottom, brush though weeds, and I can even feel the sinko falling. All around it is a amazing pole and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking to get a pole that can do all different fishing for a affordable price

Rated 5 out of 5 by Shadman from Extreme quality and features at bargain prices The entire Fenwick line of rods are very high quality from their low end rods all the way up to their top level. The Eagle line offers real quality at the lowest price point. These rodia feature stainless guides, low weight, and quality grips. They are available in any action or type that you need. I have many...many high quality rods and use the Eagle line for my travel pieces. While as a purist, all of my tournament rods are one piece, this line features many two piece rods that you can put in the trunk or back of the SUV. That way you are ready if the opportunity presents itself to make a few casts! I highly recommend these rods...

Rated 5 out of 5 by HUDSONMAN 61 from OUTSTANDING!!!!! I've owned Fenwick Eagle rods for a long, long time. My first one was a M action 5'9" that's still going strong. I also own a couple of ML action rods (6'6"- 7'0) and over the winter I picked up the 7'0 UL model. I have to say I really love this one for trout. I have it paired with an ultra-light reel and 2 lb. test line and it is the sweetest outfit for hitting the rivers and streams ever! It can handle very big fish and even makes stockies feel like a good fight. I couldn't be happier and as long as fenwick keeps making these rods I'll keep buying them, using them and reccommending them. Thanks for a great product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by BretNButter from Affordable rod that can take abuse! Last May I had snapped a Mitchell rod in half while setting the hook on a bass. I only had the rod for 2 weeks, and I decided to look at different brands while at my local tackle shop. That's when I found my 6'6" Medium-Heavy Fast Fenwick spinning rod. This rod has seen abuse and has not given up. I mainly use it for top water, especially hollow body frogs that I launch into the thickest grass mats and Lilly pad fields, and it has had to haul bass and vegetation in that would have snapped most rods in two and it just gets it done. Cast. Set hook. Reel. It's that simple with this rod! I would highly recommend this rod to anyone that loves using hollow body frogs in thick cover.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Salmon on coming up from Awesome rod I bought a 7 ft m fenwick eagle paired with a pflueger mentalist 4000 reel with 12 poind Maxima for salmon fishing on the tributaries of the salmon river New York and boy was I ever impressed the rod weight was rated alittle light for the fishing I was doing with it but it held up very very well I caught over 30 salmon in a two week period koho and king salmon anywhere from 18-35lbs and I have to comment on the handle and reel seat they were awesome the burl is not only nice to look at but is extremely comfortable in ur hand for fishing all day long and the reel seat is awesome I love that the threads of the reel seat is hidden so ur fingers are on the burl at all times most definitely a plus

Rated 5 out of 5 by Nelujohn from Unbeatable value Bought 6.6 medium heavy from Cabela one month ago. I wish I can buy 7.0 one piece medium heavy but nobody caries them in Canada... Best handle, period. Cork around reel seat, exactly where I hold the rod...Much better than St Crois where you feel all the threath and hold the plastic reel seat. I own almost all Eagle light, med, med-heavy. The only problem I have is not with the rod but website. It lists 6.6 med heavy as 10.9 ounces!!! I tell my fisherman friends how good is this rod and they go on website and phone me “ like are you crazy?. I have to send the the picture that in fact this is 4.9 ounces... Fenwick just listed the wrong weight... I do attach 2 picture, with my scale and 6.6 med heavy and 7.0 med. Tight line, John, Canada

Rated 2 out of 5 by Phill from Nearly perfect balance, speed, sensitivity. but Within the first day (just bought it today) of use 4 of the 7 eye's epoxy bond has broken free of the blank and now each eye clicks noisily when casting or twitching a bait... A testament to the quality or the inspection process. I tried to repair it, but the epoxy didn't crack and is literally sheeting off of the blank so fresh epoxy just sits on top of the original and doesn't make the needed bond to the blank. I tested the feel of poles for hours and at 3 different stores before settling on the 6ft version, even picked this rod over a st croix that was a $180 pole because of how neutral and balanced the blanks feel, boy did I sure choose wrong...

Rated 5 out of 5 by Cauer2 from Best day out trout fishing in a long while. Got this rod in the 6' version from The local big box store. I heard some good reviews and it was in the price range I was more comfortable with so I thought I'd give it a try.... I am very glad I did! went to a local stream in the rochester ny area this morning and, very unexpectedly, had THE BEST morning I've have had trout fishing since I've been in rochester; granted, I have six kids under 12 and a seventh on the way, so I don't get streamside much. But I will say I was really pleased with the way the rod handled. I was using some 6lb fire line and a 1000 series shimano reel; can't remember exactly, I think it was a Sahara. Anyway, I was able to feel the strikes from the smallest of the chubs (3.5"), to the largest of the days browns (15"). The total for the day was 22 chubs, 6 browns and 1 small largemouth. I fished maybe 100 yards of stream over about two hours. The rod handled the larger fish fantastically and when I didn't have a fish on I could still feel the trout magnet bounce with ever subtle jerk. It feels really well balanced and is easy to cast around in smaller streams. The section of creek that I fished today was about 25 feet across at the widest point and just above the knee in depth at the deepest. Really looking to get out on some of the larger creeks soon. Alltogether, I'm really pleased with the rod and I'm looking forward to more great days out on the water. Fenwick has a new fan.
