Product Reviews

Fenwick® AETOS™ Spinning is rated 4.5596 out of 5 by 109.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from No fairy wand here I bought this rod wanting something with extra length for further casting distance, and slightly more backbone than a normal medium power rod without stepping to a med-heavy. As the description is accurate when reads as a shakey head rod, it is also a great senko and jerk bait rod. The extra back bone really help with heavier wire hooks in the shakey heads and texas rigged senkos. However the tip is nice and crisp for snapping jerk baits as well. Overall it is a great power/finesse spinning rod. I would not particularly use it for anything too light like a dropshot as it would overpower the rig but for a range of other techniques requiring a heavier hookset or wired hook it is amazing.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Rod is nice but... I bought this rod around a year and a half ago, the rod itself and blank are great. But where it faulters is in two areas. The titanium guides are extremely loud when using braid. That I was able too ignore because the rod felt and performed great. But just yesterday I was fishing in my local pond with it and the cork handle broke in two. It broke on a cast. I called my guy that I always buy my tackle from and informed him of the issue. He was aware of the handles breaking. This is a design flaw in the handle and apparently a lot are breaking. I like the rod but I returned it and exchanged it for a different brand. I cannot recommend this rod because of that

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AETOS 6'8" MH Casting Rod I've been using Fenwick rods since the 1970's. Legendary TV fishing host Virgil Ward always promoted Fenwick and eventually prompted me to give them a try, and I've had Fenwick in my rod box ever since. With all of the Fenwick product I've owned over the years this AETOS rod is the best I've used. I purchased the 6'8" casting rod to skip jigs and soft plastics under docks. At my height the 6'8" rod length is perfect for skipping baits, and this AETOS rod has the perfect amount of tip action to skip lures with ease. The rod also has great comfort in the grip, awesome balance, and enough backbone to haul Mr. Greenjeans out of the thick stuff. Great rod! I highly recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Rod!! I purchased this model as a pitching stick, the length with the extra fast action is exactly what I needed because I don't pitch with braid. What I find amazing it even with copolymer line the rod is super sensitive and pitching, even with a 3/8oz jig, is effortless and accurate, and while very light, it is loaded with pure power, once you set the hook on a toad in nasty cover, you immediately know you will get it out, it just oozes quality in every aspect, I will have an arsenal of these rods before I'm done!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing design and feel! I bought the 6'8" MH and it is fantastic for many different techniques. The color and sensitivity of the rod itself is beautiful. I love throwing 3/8oz spinnerbaits and chatterbaits for big smallmouth on it because you can feel even the slightest difference in your bait (like some grass snagged on the hook). I highly recommend this rod!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High quality rod at an affordable price I recently sold all of setups and replaced everything with the Fenwick Aetos casting and spinning rods (10 rods in total). Based on my short experience with these rods, I couldn't be happier. I am an avid kayak tournament fisherman and anyone who participates in this sports understates that bc of the nature of kayak fishing, our gear takes a pounding! I did a lot of research before making my decision to go with the Fenwick Aetos and the customer satisfaction, many rod/technique choices, and limited lifetime warranty are what sold me on this particular rod. I would highly recommend these rods to anyone else looking to match quality with affordability.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great rod for the price I have used a lot of different rods and I have to say this style I liked from the start comfortable and works great casting . I have the 6'6" version and have no complaints.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Rod!! I have several Fenwick rod, love 'em all, and have to say this is the best rod I have ever owned. I have the 6' 8" casting rod paired with a Pflueger Summit I got at one of the big box stores for a steal! Awesome set up, mostly used for jerk baits while walleye fishing. This thing just feels right!!! I have the reel loaded with 10LB Trilene Pro Grade 100% Flouro, and it casts like a dream. Just ordered the spinning model in a 6' 3" Med to pair with a Patriarch XT for jigging. I cant wait to get it out on the water with it! Also, like Ott states in the video, these are just plain beautiful rods!!!
